THE REGENT SEVEN SEAS EXPLORER REGENT SUITE, HOW BIG IS BIG ENOUGH?

When I first encountered this two bedroom villa and entered its foyer, the sheer perfection of the setting, overtook me. I found every furnishing and finery perfectly placed and illuminated without clutter or repetition. Upon entrance, one is greeted with a dividing wall, adorned with finely crafted Lalique vases. René Lalique, certainly one of the most famous glass designers of the 20th century, had a signature style which was influenced by the Art Nouveau movement. These pieces, artfully displayed, reflect Laliques’s fascination with nymphs, flora and fauna, and celebration of the female form.
Moving on through this elegant abode, the overall integration of modern elegance confluences with comfortable design. Every detail, from lighting, furnishing, floor coverings and functionality is arrayed in perfect synchronization. Comfortable inclusion is on display causing one to immediately feel at home and satiating one’s longing for relaxation and indulgence.
The Regent Suite is nearly 50% larger than the average house in the USA. To put this in perspective, the Royal Penthouse Suite at Geneva’s Hotel President Wilson is the most expensive hotel room in the world, stretching 18,000 feet, gargantuan by comparison. But as cruise cabin space, always a premium at sea, takes a back seat to public spaces; dining rooms, public theaters, restaurants and functionality; the suite’s palatial digs are not only overly expansive, due to their cleverly crafted compartmentalized design, but jaw-dropping elegant!
The sprawling two-bedroom Master Suite has a bar for a cocktail party for eight. There’s a one-of-a-kind, $250,000 Steinway Arabesque piano designed by Dakota Jackson in the living room.
The master bedroom boasts floor-to-ceiling windows looking out over the ocean. A Savoir Bed, was chosen for this setting. These hand crafted beds, were first created for London’s Savoy hotel in 1905. Today the tradition of manufacturing these beds has since been retained by this hotel chain, to maintain their exclusivity and to make them available to the public.
These lofty furnishings, whose padding contains hair, plucked from the tails of Argentinian horses, require up to 120 hours each of craftsmanship per unit, to manufacture. Each craftsman has to apprentice for at least a year to learn how to make a box spring.
The piece is reported to cost over $150,000 for manufacturing and installation.
And what ultra luxury ship oasis would not be complete without its own therapy room with ocean-view shower, sauna and steam room and ceramic heated lounge beds fit for a couple of seagoing sultans.

Testimonials:
We had a wonderful experience today and want to share. We have been in Ted’s Facebook Group, Friends Who Like Viking Cruises, for a while and enjoy most of the posts. We have done 3 Viking River cruises and 2 Viking Ocean, all booked directly with Viking. However, during our last 3 cruises we heard others comment about their great on-board credits and how they got this or that extra from their travel agent. Viking never gave anything extra on those trips. So…we decided to call Ted Karbowski to see what he could offer us. I can honestly tell you if you are on the fence about using a Travel Agent, give him a call at 954-290-8626. We are booked for our 6th Viking trip! He was on phone with us with Viking Air and we got our first choice of flights! Absolutely great service answering questions with prompt responses. So happy with his service we have referred some others to him! AR
5 star service! Ted really cares about his clients. I just keep telling my friends about him! I know of two other families that booked after me and we all say the same thing. We felt like family. He took care of everything and he checked back to make sure everything was as expected. Will book with Ted again! AP
