Ted Karbowski hails originally from Cincinnati, Ohio and first experienced the pleasure of cruising at the tender age of 7, on the original Delta Queen paddle-steamboat, built in 1927 and now registered as a National Historic Landmark.
He fondly recalls summers house boating along the Ohio waterways with family and friends. He spent a third of his life busy in
Southern California, working in the Film Industry for an in-house production studio and learned the craft of camera technician, setting up and operating camera cranes and working in film laboratories as a technician. As a film editor he learned the craft of telling stories with images and words and still today produces his own video travel stories with only the use of his iPhone.
When his family relocated to FT. Lauderdale in the 1970’s, their happiest times were spent together on their cabin cruiser enjoying the “Venice of the Americas” waterways. Being on the water was forever associated with fun, family and relaxation.
During his early career in the entertainment and film industry, Ted travelled extensively to Canada, Mexico and Europe, falling in love with the experiences of foreign cultures, architecture and lifestyles. Travel became, and remains, his passion.
As part of this work, Ted has traveled around the world, residing for a period in Copenhagen Denmark, one of his favorite locations. Mr. Karbowski has honed his skills as a Major Cruise lines Travel Planner for both Carnival and Norwegian Cruise and for Major travel industry destination resorts such as Atlantis, Paradise Island producing at a record setting pace at the Major Cruise lines. His efforts awarded him accolades such as Best Customer Service, Highest Number of Bookings Daily, Monthly and Yearly.
